How has the mass adoption of social media technologies altered the way that we interact with each other? How has the veil of anonymity or physical separation changed the way we think about our social exchanges? Through each tiny interaction, a comment or a like, we are rarely fully aware of our impact. When the viewer interacts with this body of work either through setting off unseen sensors, or pressing a button to which they do not know what the effect will be, the unpredictable unfolds. By displaying the figures in specimen-like containers, the gallery space becomes a curious environment where the viewer can analyze the sculptures position in, and interaction with society. This simulation showcases the unknown, and possibly destructive nature of the viewer’s influence, intentional or not.
